Your mystery weaver looks like an out of plumage Yellow-crowned Bishop.

Species seems to be a Yellow-crowned Bishop, Euplectes afer (as other people has suggested). It should be a male in non-breeding or eclipse plumage. Note the single yellow feather on the rump, the yellowish crown coming out through the brown feathers (females dont show these traits). Also whitish supercilium with yellowish anterior part to it is typical of Euplectes afer.
