Week 11, 16 Mar 07 - SAANR
Pekka Fage, Brian Foster and Mike Pope explored more of SAANR on the way to and around Tuhla today in very blustery conditions. The following images by Mike Pope
Caspian Plovers were still around from the previous week and for me in breeding plumage were like seeing a new bird

Part of the large flock of Caspian Plovers

A small flock of Collared Pratincoles took shelter near the Caspian Plovers

This Kestrel used the strong wind to his advantage whilst hunting

I flushed this Tree Pipit walking around the Tuhla pool and it took some patience to get this image of it bobbing up and down in the wind

The Black eared Wheatear was still present in the same location as last week
