This site is slowly shrinking (building waste is dumped here) but it still remains the best place to view the Birds - 15.30 remains the target time to be in position with best observational period being mid October to early April with
November December, the peak but beware after rain birds can become scarce as they disperse around Bahrain as is the current case.

Do not get a taxi from the Airport to the site
You need to hire a car its cheaper you only need an international license - car hire from the airport is about 10 -16 BD per day depending on size 4wd not necessary (1 us $ = 0.378 of a BAHRAIN DINAR)
It is possible therefore to make a short stopover just to see the birds - The Map has been Edited to show a second site used in spring 2006 - Please note that Bahrain is an Island barely 15 kms wide and 65 long you can hardly get lost - the people are friendly and helpful if you do.
