a good weekend - nice weather nice birds

Had a good week-ends birding more species being seen if not presenting themselves in front of the camera - noted this week in larger number returning Tawny Pipits, White Wagtails and Stonechats. In the fields Warblers a plenty Menetries's Orphean, Upcher's, Great Reed and a variety of White-throats. On the shore much the same an increase in numbers more than anything but a decline in Terns with White-cheeked almost now absent.

Thank goodness for full 3G coverage in Bahrain was able to hear the match and watch the birds - technology never ceases to amaze - today visited the Chicken Farm Hamalah and Buri then caught a flight shot on the way home of a Lesser Spotted Eagle

The Wind has returned first Shammal of the season
