Breeding between October (occassionally late September) and January nesting sites of resident birds are scattered about Hawar, generally two, occasionally three eggs are laid but one is not uncommon. Pairs are strictly territoral and can be observed throughout the year within their range, a factor that makes locating nests in the breeding season relatively easy.
