At this time fishing forays from the colony are often initiated by a mass movement from Suwad, all the birds since no nests have yet been built to limit numbers, move as one, often initially to the northern shore of the Rubuds (map) where a roosts is re - established. This roost site remains a popular staging post throughout the year for birds moving north out to fish or those heading back to the colony.
