Every year from August onwards the northern shore of Tubli Bay and the associated fresh water ditches that drain into it play host to many tern species - separating the species can be problematic since besides our own resident and migrant breeding species numbers are supplemented by other species from their breeding grounds elsewhere. This year has been no different, so with the aid of the lense of fellow birder Juhani Kyyrö www.virtual-bird.com   I have placed here a few images he took during our birding breaks over the last few weeks (August into September) as a exercise in identification. -- see how you fair.---- email me your thoughts and suggestions, so far I have recieved only two but very different responses
