Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Web Photo Gallery /  the north shore of the Rubuds remains the best place to beach comb on Hawar. Here two different species of turtle carapace are displayed, the smaller is green, the larger is thought to match up with the loggerhead skull illustrated in the next slide. This shoreline is the most northerly and exposed on Hawar, access involves a good walk of several kms in part through thick mud. Simon and I walked it last, June 1st 2005 (this will probablly be his last visit he is due to leave Bahrain soon) no new remains were found - which is good news if you are Turtle, Dugong or Dolphin.
